Xiaomi, Run by the "Chinese Steve Jobs" announces MI3 : Top-End Smartphone at Mid-End Prices
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi run by Steve Jobs of China has a habit of releasing high-end smartphones at mid-range prices. Xiaomi chairman and CEO Lei Jun dressed in a black shirt and blue jeans released the Xiaomi MI3.
The phone comes in two variants, one featuring a Qualqomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz for China Unicom, and the other with a NVidia Tegra 4 quad-core chip clocking1.8GHz for China Mobile. All of this coupled with 2GB of Ram, 16 t 64 GB of internal storage makes this phone look straight into the eyes of the high-end smartphones all over the world.
The Xiaomi MI3 has a 13 megapixel Sony made camera with dual LED flashlights capable of shooting 10 pictures in a second with the burst mode on while the front camera offers a 2-megapixel sensor.
Even with the measurements of 5.7” x 2.9” X0.32” and weighing 5.1 ounces the phone is able to fit in a whopping 3050mAh battery which could easily last you a day.
Available in six colors : Blue, Black, Pink, Yellow, Silver and White with a price tag of $327 for the 16GB model and $408 for the 64GB model, the phone has caused a stir in the International market and is ready to eat of iPhones market share even before its launch.
